This blog is a great travel guide for someone planning on going to Europe. By highlighting key locations and events aswell as informing the reader about special deals on hotels and things that they can do for free. The blog isn't to hard to navigate and the catigories listed on the side help narrow your search. It's a fairly new blog less than a year old and seems to be updating quite frequently which is also a good thing. Overall its a pretty useful way to get travel ideas and tips.
When I first saw the title of the blog I immediately thought it would be a typical travel blog. I feel that the blog does not let the reader see what real life is like in the various locations for the local residents. The blog is primarily posting about this to see and do in the locations and lacks depth. It gives a short synopsis of what you can do, where to stay, and how you are oging to get there. The blog is great for people thinking about traveling to Europe but lacks sufficient detail to provide readers with an idea of what it is like to live in Europe.
The first thing I noticed about the blog for this week was that it wasn't updated very much. It wasn't updated at all in july, august, or october of this year, and it was only updated two times in september. This leads me to think that it might not have very much information without even clicking anything at all. The posts that were updated didn't have much information. The blog however did have great landscape pictures and pictures of city buildings. Being a person who likes photography, the pictures definitely made looking at this blog a lot less painful.
i chose this blog as our week 6 post because i want to show some place outside the United States. the website is helpful for travellor go to Europe. and it not only post some beatiful place in the Europe also have a lot funny activities. Because they have too broad topic,it has a problem that the things not really in good organazition. Although they have list some hot words on the left side of the website, it is still not really helpful. i recommend that they can make categories in different aspect of Europe, which will be much helpful.
The Traveleurope blog was exactly as the name suggests. It has posts that highlight tourist destinations all over Europe. It was interesting to read about, especially the post about beaches in Greece. The comment someone had posted was not a very well thought out comment though. The entries on this blog represent the course theme well. Each entry gives the reader some insight to the destination and provides some insight to what is unique about that destination. Place is represented well by information on activities and culture, as well as information on who the tourist destination is designed for. This blog was overall easy to navigate and user friendly.
I think that this weeks blog is very interesting. One thing that I really like about it is how you can click on all the different places in Europe on the right side, and then it tells you about it and some things to do there. It also tells you about popular hotels and hotel deals for a certain area of Europe. One article that I think did a good job of representing place is the Travel to Rome, quick guide because it was one of the only things that had a good amount of information about it. It tells you many different facts about Rome. It also tells you how to get to Rome, accommodations in Rome, where and what to eat in Rome, where and how to have fun in Rome, and shopping in Rome. I think that it gives a good overview of what Rome has to offer.
At first, I was excited to see this blog because in the past my family and I traveled to many ski resorts and we are big on skiing and snowboarding. I got even more excited when I found out this was in Europe because the one time I went to Europe I loved it, and so did my family. Going to these ski resorts in Europe would be a great vacation for my family and other families like mine to do. Not only is this site a good site for skiing families but there are also alot of other things that families can do in Europe. It talks about entertainment and hotel spots in London, visiting the south in Portugal, and many other places. This seems like a very informative site about Europe and is good for families thinking about traveling to Europe in the future.
This blog offers information on what kind of activities one can do in various cities throughout europe, but I didn't see much explanation of the areas' cultures. The only blogs I did see that discussed culture was the "Seven Cities for Seven Deadly Sins" and these blogs basically compared one activity that was also tied into that area's culture to one of the deadly sins. For example Bologna was compared to gluttony because the food offered there is great and tourist become "trapped" by it. I think this site could include more culture because that is what tourist need to get the full experince of an area.
I am not really a fan of Lady Gaga but she is a big popular culture icon. She is set to perform in Europe and I think that is interesting. Interesting because she is not only popular in the US but worldwide. That is a big accomplishment. This is a successful blog of events occurring or have occurred in Europe. The blog gives insight of upcoming events, such as Lady Gaga's concert. It gives a background and analysis of who she is and what she has accomplished. This is good for the readers that have no idea who is Lady Gaga. She is an interesting lady and even though I do not know a lot about her, I would check this concert out because of the way the blog described her.
This blog is very appealing to the eye, and sijje had the idea to chose a blog outside of the US. It is very colorful and has a lot of pictures. It gives you the 411 on what is happening in different parts of Europe. The best part is that you can book a hotel, flights, cars, see holiday deals, and places to ski. So if you like an event you can plan to go on the same site.
I really like this blog. It's got a bright orange tone that makes any viewer a little happier. The pictures are beautiful and all the information featured contained something I was interested in reading. While it may not have been updated that often, the initial page offered pictures and opinions of must have experiences that the cities will always offer. For example the blog about London states "There are several areas devoted to this practice, with discos, pubs, clubs, restaurants, cinemas and theatres opened from dusk till dawn." Info on this site to ranges from the beaches in Athens to Lady Gaga and I think it's really interesting.
This blog is very resourceful in the way that it acknowlegdges every opportunity that the typical tourist will probably want to take advantage of. It may not expose a particularly raw examination of specific European culture but I suspect that a tourist looking for that wouldn't chech this site out anyway. Typical vacationers want to know about hotels, shopping, clubs, restaurants, etc. They would like to know that, as posted by the blogger halitll, Sting will be performing in concert October 25th in Florence. For most, it's all about entertainment on vacation.
This blog is very interesting. The stories and articles are fun to read and the pictures really capture your attention. However, the actual writing is somewhat sloppy, making some of the articles difficult to read and make the audience stumble through the information. The blog is well organized and clear, making the site easy to navigate. This welcomes the audience in and invites them to easily find what they want to read about. Over all, this site is well made and organized, with a few setbacks in actual writing, this blog still grabbed my attention.
I think this is a very helpful and informative resource for anyone wanting to travel in Europe. it offers facts about interesting places and a variety of things to do in all the different cities. the site not only offers a representation of Europe, but it also provides unique information on each of the interesting and popular tourist cities. from shopping, to hotels, to beaches, to entertainment, this travel blog seems like a useful tool to utilize when considering the possibilities of europe. the pictures are beautiful and seem to capture exactly what is appealing about each and every place. the descriptions could use a bit more information rather than "fluff" but other than that the site does a good job of informing travelers looking to visit europe.
This website gave very informative information on whats going on in Europe and all things travelers or even natives can do to have fun or just enjoy themselves. If I was planning on visiting Europe I wouldn't mind checking this site out to get ideas about what I could do to have a good time. I would say I Disagree with Kyle D in saying that this is a travel blog about Europe not a site trying to get you to move there. Thats why it doesn't go into depth about what its like to live there because that information is irrelevant to this blog. Overall this blog is a good example of our course theme and its an interesting blog as well.
I enjoyed looking at this blog and found it very interesting. The first articles that caught my eye were the ski resorts, because I snowboard. I thought they did a good job on giving an overview of the places. The articles that I found most interesting though were 7 cities for 7 deadly sins. Each sin was represented by a city, and a good explaination about why it was chosen followed. I thought it was clever and that the explainations did a good job supporting the name the city was given. Overall I liked this blog and found it easy to look through.
I agree with pretty much everyone above. This is a very useful website for planning a trip to Europe. I especailly like it because it highlights the ski resorts. I have never snow skied before and would like to try. I have water skied many times and hear snow skiing isnt much different. overall this is a great blog to look at. Definately useful for traveling tips, information, and destinations.
The Europe is always the place I dream about, the beautiful view, the relaxed life style and the rich history culture. For Paris, I really desire one period of relaxation in one afternoon there. During that time, I can enjoy the warm sunshine, a tasteful cup of coffee, and the smile one everyone's face. For Venice, the different life style is really appealing to me. How will it feel when you take a boat home after work? And how wonderful is it to live on the water? I am very curious about that. Also, there are a lot of other places in Europe I want to go, and the website just provides me with many useful guides. However, the website is a little lack of pictures. So, I hope in the future I can see more photos in it, giving me a visual feast.
I found this site to be wonderful. I feel it really gives the reader information that is unique to each location and much more personal than one would find from a travel agency, brochures or even books written on the area. However, the blogs biggest weakness is simply the number of entries. While the quality of the entries is wonderful the quantity is lacking. While this does give the blog room to grow and expand, I feel the chances of information inside the blog being about a place I am planning on visiting is rather small.
I agree with Bryan about how the blog lacks entries. When it is describing locations it does an excellent job, but it really doesn't have too many locations that it describes. Overall I think it is a nice representation of what someone could use to make rough plans to go to Europe. As a reference it is a great site. One negative thing I found about the blog was that there was no descriptions for the pictures related to each post. Each post had a great picture to it, but I never exactly knew what the picture represented.
I think that was a really interesting blog. It immediately caught my attention with the vibrant colors, and beautiful pictures. This made me want to explore more about it, and what it had to offer. There were a lot of cool facts about current events going on in Europe. If I was traveling to Europe this would be very helpful because it gives ideas of things I could do while I'm there. Not only that, but this website sparked a new interest for me. I think I'm much more interested in visiting Europe now.
